Description

With vineyards beyond a long cypress-lined drive, the Loacker 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Corte Pavone Campo Marzio offers dark fruit layers and richness. This wines draws its fruit from the estate's oldest vines planted in clayey soils. This Sangiovese reveals dried blackberry and raspberry with soft cherry and spice. It shows a lot of natural concentration enhanced by leather, balsam herb, tar and licorice. The Campo Marzio, named after the area of ancient Rome that was used for military training and is today home to the most picturesque parts of the Centro Storico including the Pantheon, is a robust and muscular wine with the structure to carry it over the next 10 years.
