The 2018 Bernkasteler Graben Riesling Spätlese is very delicate and intense on the aromatic and matured nose that displays ripe and elegant fruit intermixed with delicate slatey notes but is already pretty advanced for a two-year-old Mosel Riesling from a top vineyard. On the palate, this is a stimulatingly salty, generously fruity and mouth-filling picture-book Spätlese based on perfectly ripe, golden-pink Riesling grapes. It is beautifully fresh and piquant as well as pure on the finish that reveals this crystalline and stimulatingly salty character of a great Mosel Riesling. Drink date: 2020-2050. Score - 93.
